Ember of Vel

Ember of Vel is the kind of RPG you fall into for a whole evening. You guide a small party across a quiet kingdom, fighting in clean turn-based battles where positioning matters more than grinding. The story unfolds through short conversations that never overstay their welcome.

Everything is stored on the device, so the campaign runs perfectly without a connection. We played most of it on a long train trip and never saw a loading error. The skill tree is readable and the inventory doesn't drown you in junk items.

Combat gets genuinely tactical in the second half, when enemies start exploiting your weak flanks. If you like thinking a few moves ahead, this one rewards you.
