Puzzle games made for airplane mode
There's a specific kind of puzzle game that's perfect for flights: small, offline, and immediately playable. No login, no update prompt the second you sit down, just tiles and logic.
Tilewright is my go-to example. It's a few megabytes, launches in a second, and saves after every level, so turbulence that makes you quit mid-puzzle doesn't cost you anything.
When I'm picking puzzlers for travel, I look for a gentle difficulty curve and no ads that need a connection to load. A good one keeps you thinking without ever locking you out.
Pack two or three of these and a long flight stops feeling long.
